At "La Barrera" the very rudimentary bull ring in Juigalpa town the public and especially the testosterone driven young jump into the ring to challenge the running bulls. This event takes place during the month of August when the town celebrates the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Every year there are many participants who are injured or in a few cases killed by the running bulls.
